Jacksonville Residents to Climb Stairs of Bank of America Tower

Here in Florida, there are more than 2.5 million people living with lung disease, including asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, lung cancer and others. To help fund the American Lung Association’s work to end lung disease, today, the American Lung Association in Florida announced that it will host the iconic Fight For Air Climb Jacksonville at the Bank of America Tower on Saturday, March 18, 2023.

This is the 15th year of the Fight For Air Climb Jacksonville, the premier stair-climbing event in Jacksonville. Participants will climb 34 flights to the top of the iconic Bank of America Tower.

“Fight For Air Climb events are great for friends, family, companies and first responder teams to climb stairs to support people with lung disease and lung cancer, have fun and get some great exercise. This event is designed for every type of climber, from beginners to competitive climbers. Anyone can climb!” said Sheila Cribb, event chair with Bank of America.

“We are thrilled to give our past climbers the opportunity to return home to the original event location where it all began at the Bank of America Tower,” shared Cindy Springer, senior manager of development for the American Lung Association. “And we hope this unique endurance opportunity, encourages the active runners in our community to come out and try something new and challenging.”
