Nicole Haragutch, from Saint Augustine, FL, is working, through her Innovation International Foundation with Grades of Green, on the RISE Climate Solutions Campaign where she is mentoring students worldwide on her awarded Sustainable Food Production solution with the objective of raising awareness of the dangers of greenhouse gas emissions causing negative effects on climate change.

The Sustainable Food Production is an integration of modern food production methods such as aquaponics, hydroponics, microgreens, sprouting, with green technology such as solar power, water collection from thin air, automation, and monitoring which makes them sustainable by using only 10% of the water normally used in food production and eliminating chemical product runoffs into our precious rivers and oceans.

She is not only teaching the students but also working with them on replicating her STEM prototypes. Work is under way for students in Ghana, Brazil and the Philippines, as well as some communities in the US such as the Tallahassee Science Festival in Tallahassee, FL, on October 19, and the Persimmon Festival in Jacksonville, FL, on November 3. For these last two events in Florida, she plans to have a booth with hands-on STEM experiments for the students to have a fun way to learn.
