NASA Cancels Launch SpaceX Rocket On Space Station Supply Mission

Thursday's planned mission would have marked the 100th launch from the NASA Kennedy Space Center launchpad.

SpaceX's Falcon 9 rocket canceled a launch of the Dragon spacecraft Thursday due to poor weather conditions. The mission was to resupply the International Space Station.

The next launch opportunity will be June 3.

Departing from NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Titusville, Florida, the spacecraft planned to carry solar panels along with tools for observing Earth and neutron stars. When it finally launches, it will also carry crew supplies and hardware for the space station; in total, the load will weigh nearly 6,000 pounds.
