The annual Fortune 500 list is out, ranking the biggest companies across America, including 17 from Florida.

LAKELAND, FL — Fortune Magazine has named the companies across the country that managed to earn ranking on its coveted Fortune 500 list. The 500 firms included represent two-thirds of the country’s gross domestic product (GDP) with a $12 trillion in revenues combined. Seventeen of those companies happen to have their headquarters in Florida.

Companies that made the list are ranked by total revenues. Topping the list nationally is Walmart, followed by Berkshire Hathaway and Apple. Walmart also happens to be the biggest employer represented on the list with 2.3 million employees. Apple earns the honor of being the most profitable company on the list.

While 15 companies dropped off the list, there were 20 newcomers on the list, including Elon Musk’s electric car company, Tesla. Other than clearing the bar of at least $5.1 billion in annual revenue, Fortune explains how newcomers make it on the list.
