Police Search Lakeland Building For Explosives After Bomb Threat Made

Employees were evacuated Wednesday morning after a person called in a bomb threat to the Curtis Peterson Building in downtown.

LAKELAND, FL — A bomb threat was called into the Curtis Peterson Building in Lakeland Wednesday morning, WFLA reported.

Employees were evacuated from the building after 9:30 a.m. when the threat was made, Lakeland police told the outlet.

Officers have begun checking the building to make sure it is safe for staff members in the building to return.
