Do You Recognize This Car? Police Believe Driver Has Information About Bartow Shooter.

Bartow investigators are asking the public's help identifying the owner of a Mitsubishi seen near a Saturday shooting at an intersection.

BARTOW, FL — Bartow police are asking anyone's help who may have witnessed a shooting early Saturday morning near Church Street, according to a news release.

A driver stopped next to a car at the intersection of Wilson Avenue and Church Street at about 2:25 a.m., authorities said. The driver in an unknown vehicle shot at the car, deputies said. No one had injuries.

Investigators do believe that the driver of a 2015-2018 Mitsubishi Mirage might have information that could help deputies find the shooter. They are not sure if the Mirage was the car targeted. It was captured in city video surveillance.

"You can bet that all investigative resources will be utilized to find and arrest those responsible," Chief Bryan Dorman said. "Our team is working diligently to do just that."
