Feasts Of Persia Food Truck Satisfies Persian-American Fusion Cravings

LAKELAND, FL — As an American-grown family with Persian and Filipino roots, the Rahmani family is guided by the principle that "you can't build a community without 'unity.'"

With that in mind, Farhad Rahmani, wife Gianna, and sons Nikolas and Dominik, launched Feasts of Persia in December, offering Lakeland as well as areas from Orlando to Tampa Bay their unique Persian-American fusion dishes to satisfy Central Florida's craving for traditional Persian food blended with American favorites.

In just six months, they've gained a faithful following with their signature Kabob Burger, said Gianna Rahmani.

"Our Persian-American fusion brings food together the way it brings people together — by combining flavorful Persian kabob dishes with American favorites — burgers, steak-bites, sandwiches, wings and more," said Gianna Rahmani.

In addition to offering five signature dishes — lamb, chicken, halal and vegetarian options — she said they offer a warm, friendly atmosphere with clean, covered and spacious outdoor seating.

Other favorites include the Shish Kabob Sandwich featuring beef steak-bites marinated in Persian spices and grilled to perfection, served with mayo, grilled onions and bell peppers and sumac; and the Pan-Fried Kabob Burger with a mix of ground beef and lamb seasoned, pan-fried and sprinkled with sumac, then served on a toasted roll with mayo and grilled tomatoes

Their bright desert oasis-themed food truck's home location is at Union Hall, 1023 S Florida Ave., Lakeland, Tuesday and Thursday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., but can be frequently found at hotspots in the area including Grove Roots Brewing Co., Jensen's Corner Bar and The Social Cocktail Lounge in Winter Haven: Front Page Brewing Co. of Bartow; Brew Hub, The Yard on Mass, Unfiltered and Swan Brewing in Lakeland, in addition to encore appearances at residential and health care communities and at special events.

They also provide catering services.
