Lake Arbuckle Campground To Close July 11 To Aug. 14 For Maintenance

POLK COUNTY, FL — The Lake Arbuckle Campground will be closed for maintenance and construction from July 11 to Aug. 14.

The boat ramp will remain open for use during park hours. Normal park hours are 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. All other campgrounds remain open, Polk County announced in a news release.

Lake Arbuckle Park is located at 2600 Lake Arbuckle Road, Frostproof. The area is a popular boating, canoeing, kayaking, biking, hiking, bird watching wildlife viewing and fishing location (particularly for bass). A boat ramp is available.

Amenities include barbecue grills, campsite tables, a comfort station, picnic tables, restrooms, showers, drinking water, fire pits and firewood. Pets are allowed.
