New North Lakeland Area Liaison Hired By Polk County Schools

LAKELAND, FL — An additional community liaison has recently been hired to oversee community relations and business partners to address the needs of schools in North Lakeland, a Polk County Public Schools news release said.

Kylia Carswell joins community liaisons, Betsy Cleveland, Reba Coil and Steve Warner.

Liaisons also recruit volunteers and committee members, secure donations and link businesses with career academies, staff said.

Prior to this role, Carswell worked as the community partnership school director for the Children's Home Society of Florida. She also served as a program manager with the United Way of Central Florida.
