Chipotle lovers in the Tampa Bay area may want to keep an eye on their credit card and bank statements. The popular chain eatery has announced a breach that may have compromised customer data at locations across the country. The malware responsible for the breach has been identified, but customers are being urged to be vigilant for fraudulent activity on their accounts.

Rabies Alert Issued In Hillsborough County

The Florida Department of Health in Hillsborough County has issued a rabies alert for the Shady Pines Drive area of Lutz. The alert was issued Tuesday morning following the discovery of two raccoons that have tested positive for the disease. While the diseased animals were found in Lutz, the health department is urging all resident to be on their guard.

Tampa To Host NHL 2018 All-Stars

The stars of the National Hockey League are coming to Tampa. The National Hockey League Monday announced that the Tampa Bay Lightning will host the 2018 All-Star game. The game and competition will take place at Amalie Arena Jan. 27 and 28. It’s the second time Tampa will have hosted the All-Star game after playing host in 1999.

Dog Flu Poses ‘Imminent Threat,’ UF Veterinarian Says

With more than a dozen confirmed cases of H3N2 canine influenza virus reported across the state and more suspected, officials at the University of Florida are urging pet owners to get their dogs vaccinated. The virus, which causes flu-like symptoms in dogs and cats has a high survival rate, but veterinarians say potentially deadly complications, such as pneumonia, may arise.
