Polk County Parents Can Take Advantage Of Early Enrollment For Priority Consideration

Polk County Public Schools District said it urges parents to submit applications by February for priority consideration in upcoming year.

POLK COUNTY, FL — Open enrollment for the 2022 - 2023 school year at Polk County Public Schools begins Jan. 4, a news release said.

School officials said they urge parents/guardians to submit applications by Feb. 18 for priority consideration. If they miss priority consideration, they still can apply for available open seats until the beginning of the 2022-2023 school year.

According to the Polk County Public Schools District, during open enrollment, families can apply for their students to attend a variety of educational opportunities including:

  • Choice Schools
  • Career Academies
  • Pre-academies
  • International Baccalaureate
  • Magnet Schools

Application instructions and more information will be posted in the coming weeks at polkschoolsfl.com/schooloptions.

Parents/guardians will be able to apply online through Parent Portal or through paper applications. Please be advised that the application window for Harrison School for the Arts is separate from other Polk County programs and closes Jan. 9, district staff said.
