Images Of Kids Being Sexually Abused Found On Devices Owned By 4 Polk County Men: Cops
Tips led Polk County Sheriff's cops to give search warrants at homes of four Polk County men who had images of kids being sexually abused.
POLK COUNTY, FL — Four local men face child pornography charges after detectives with the Polk County Sheriff's Office Computer Crime Units said they downloaded and sent images and videos of children being sexually battered on social media.
Investigators said they received tips form the National Center for Missing and Endangered Children (NCMED) about some Polk County residents who were possibly involved in child pornography activities. Deputies then served search warrants at the four suspects' houses and took all of their digital devices for investigation.
During the investigation, officers said that 23-year-old Ian Gadd of Lakeland had been repeatedly sexually abusing a young child he had access to, and he filmed the abuse.

“These suspects–who are the worst of the worst–used common social media apps, like Instagram, Snapchat, and Kik, to transmit and download child pornography," Sheriff Grady Judd said. "This is clear proof that these horrific images are easier than ever to find and share. Each time an image is downloaded or shared, the victim in that image is re-victimized. We continue to encourage parents to be all up in their child's business–no matter how old their child is. We want them locked up so that they never have access to children.”
A total of 192 child pornography images were found by detectives on their electronic devices, cops said.
