2nd Driver Sought In Road Rage Shooting By Polk Sheriff's Office
The Altamonte Springs man who was shot is on life support at the hospital.

LAKELAND, FL — The Polk County Sheriff's Office is investigating an apparent road rage shooting that occurred at 2:16 a.m. on Sunday on the Interstate 4 off-ramp to U.S. 27 in Davenport.
The victim, 58-year-old Kevin Berry of Altamonte Springs, a truck driver and trainer for Amazon, was heading east on Interstate 4 to work in Polk County in his white Dodge Ram 4-by-4 pickup truck. Another person was driving a two-door dark-colored car with a luggage rack on the roof east on I-4.
They both exited I-4 onto the southbound U.S. 27 exit ramp where a witness said the vehicles were aggressively driving around each other between the lanes on the off-ramp. Both drivers then stopped and the witness said they began yelling at one another.

The witness had to pull around the vehicles and told the sheriff's office that at least three other vehicles did the same.
Although the witness didn't see the shooting, the other driver apparently fired a gun at Berry.

Berry was found on the ground outside his truck parked in the middle lane of the off-ramp. He was taken to the hospital where he's on life support and is not expected to survive.
"He is not dead but there seems to be no chance of survival," said Judd. "The prognosis is grim. We need to find out who shot him and why."
Detectives are asking anyone who may have seen or heard something between 2 and 2:15 a.m., especially the drivers of the three other vehicles that pulled around the truck and car, to contact the Polk County Sheriff's Office at 863-298-6200 and reference case number 23-42221.
