Students Who Want To Major In Business, Journalism Or Politics Can Apply For Scholarship
Students majoring in business, political science and journalism can apply online for $1,200 assistance to help with college.
POLK COUNTY, FL — Four $1,200 scholarships will be given to qualified Florida students in 2022, Lori Edwards, Polk County Supervisor of Elections, said.
Scholarship applications opened Friday, and students who wish to apply must have at least a "C" average for the previous year, demonstrate financial need and be available for an interview in Polk County or in the county where they are registered to vote.

- Registered to vote in the State of Florida
- Be a Citizen of the United States
- Enrolled as a full-time student in a senior college or university in Florida
- Majoring in political science/public or business administration or journalism/mass communications

The deadline to return the scholarship application, which includes two letters of recommendation, is March 11.
