Weekly COVID-19 Cases At Schools Being Released By Polk District
Educators are working with the Florida Department of Health to give updates to parents on confirmed results reported by kids and teachers.

POLK COUNTY, FL — Parents of students enrolled at Polk County Public Schools can check the district's online portal throughout the 2021-2022 school year to access the number of students and staff that have tested positive for COVID-19.
PCPS is working closely with the Florida Department of Health in Polk County to provide accurate information on positive COVID-19 cases, school officials staff. Information will be updated weekly at Polk County Public Schools COVID-19 cases.
The most recent data, which includes preliminary figures from Aug. 2 through Aug. 15, said that a total of 59 students have tested COVID-19 positive and 101 staff members have tested COVID-19 positive.

Two other columns shown on the webpage show the number of unverified staff cases and the amount of unverified student cases. Unverified cases are people who reported having COVID-19, but the cases haven't been confirmed yet by the health department.
