Where To Celebrate New Year's Eve 2022 In Lakeland

LAKELAND, FL — While Lakeland doesn't have a famous New Year's countdown and giant ball drop like Times Square in New York City or even a less familiar tradition like the giant Potato Drop in Boise, Idaho, there's plenty happenings in and around Lakeland this New Year's Eve.

Here are some of the events happening in and around Lakeland to ring in the new year:

• There will be a New Year's Eve Grand Buffet and After Party at Terrace Grille Lakeland, 329 E Main St., Lakeland, with seatings at 5 and 7 p.m. in the dining room. The main and mezzanine bars will be open throughout the evening. Click here.

• Polk County Commissioner George Lindsey will host his annual “Here’s to Your Health Hike” at the Circle B Bar Reserve on New Year’s Day. The 2-mile hike starts at 9 a.m. on Jan. 1 at the Circle B Bar Reserve’s Nature Discovery Center. Hikers will walk about 2 miles along the Alligator Alley loop. Participants will see the Circle B Bar Reserve’s oak hammock, lake and marsh habitats during the walk. They also may see a variety of plants and animals. Participants should wear appropriate shoes, and they should bring water and dress for the day’s weather. Registration is not required.
