Winter Haven Motorcyclist Killed After Crashing Into SUV
A 31-year-old Winter Haven man died Monday after his motorcycle crashed into a sports utility vehicle on U.S. 17-92.

POLK COUNTY, FL — A 31-year-old Winter Haven man died Monday after his motorcycle crashed into a sports utility vehicle on U.S. 17-92.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, at 8:30 a.m., the motorcyclist was heading east on U.S. 17-92 at a high rate of speed. An SUV driven by a 75-year-old Hillard, Ohio, man was headed north on Dyson Road.
At the intersection of U.S. 17-92 and Dyson Road, the SUV proceeded north into the path of the motorcycle, which struck the left side of the SUV.

The motorcyclist died at the scene. The SUV driver suffered minor injuries.
