Attend a performance of 'The Great Russian Nutcracker' and Support PLACE

Pasco Learning and Activity Centers of Enrichment (PLACE) is a school-age before and after school activity program operated by the District School Board of Pasco County. The children enrolled in the PLACE program have been afforded a wonderful opportunity to experience, for the first time in the country, a full day of immersion at the Mahaffey Theater, with the world renowned Moscow Ballet artists.
 
The Moscow Ballet has developed an exciting program, “New Horizons – A Children’s Program for Life!” This program encourages children to develop healthy lifestyle choices leading to lifelong wellness and creative expression by providing practical instructions that enables the children to live happy and healthy lives. The Moscow Ballet invites you to support the PLACE children as they participate in the world premiere of this program.
 
From the moment they step off the school bus, 1,900 PLACE children will enjoy personal attention from one of the company of Moscow Ballet artists and become familiar with Russian culture. The children will be immersed in creative expression, physical exercise, healthful diet instruction and storytelling. The day culminates with all of the children enjoying an annotated performance of the Great Russian Nutcracker in the lovely Mahaffey Theatre.
 
When you purchase tickets to attend the full length evening performance of the Great Russian Nutcracker on Dec. 26 or Dec. 27, up to $25 of each ticket purchased will go directly to the Pasco County School’s PLACE program to offset the cost of providing this full day of immersion with the Moscow Ballet.
