Florida Hospital Wesley Chapel Operating Again After Explosion

WESLEY CHAPEL, FL — Florida Hospital Wesley Chapel has resumed normal operations following an explosion that knocked out the air conditioning.

According to Pasco County Fire Rescue, the scene was turned back over to the hospital just before 8:30 p.m. Tuesday.

An explosion in the hospital's central plant caused the problem that was initially called into fire rescue around 6:20 p.m. No injuries were reported at the 2600 Bruce B. Downs Blvd. hospital.

There is no further information to share about the mechanical failure that caused the problem, fire rescue wrote in an email to media.
