Free, Reduced Meal Signups Open For Pasco County Kids

Pasco County parents whose children qualify for free or reduced meals can apply online for the 2017-18 academic year.

LAND O’ LAKES, FL — Pasco County parents who need a little help making sure their kids get hot meals during the school year are being reminded that the time to apply is now. This district is continuing to accept applications for the upcoming 2017-18 academic year online.

“Under the National School Lunch Act, families who are below federal income eligibility guidelines may qualify for free or reduced-priced meal benefits,” an email from the district explained. Even if families qualified in the past, new applications are required at the start of every year, the district reminded. Only one application per household is required though.
