Grave Robbers Desecrate 2 Tombs (Video)
Pasco County deputies are asking for help finding the person or people responsible for desecrating two tombs.

CRYSTAL SPRINGS, FL β The Pasco County Sheriffβs Office is asking for help locating the person or people responsible for digging up two gravesites at the Crystal Springs Cemetery.
According to the agency, the incident happened sometime between June 12 and June 21 at the 2537 Wise Road cemetery. The crime was reported on June 21 after a volunteer groundskeeper discovered one of the graves disturbed. The deputy who responded to the scene walked around the property and found the second disturbed grave, an incident report said.

One of the graves had a hole dug on top of it that measured about 5 feet deep and more than 3 feet wide, the sheriffβs office said. The other grave appeared to have had the top of its vault removed, the report noted, βin an attempt to get into it.β
One of the graves dated to the 1930 death of Elsie Marcuerite, the deputy noted. The other one had no visible markings. Authorities say that grave had been previously vandalized prior to 1992.

While it is unclear if anything was taken from the graves, authorities say the suspects did leave a few items behind. A Coca-Cola can, Monster energy can, a Mountain Dew bottle and a piece of rope were all found near the disturbed graves.
The cemetery has no security or onsite cameras, the sheriffβs office said.
Anyone with information about who might have disturbed the graves is asked to call the sheriffβs office tips line at 1-800-706-2488.
