Land O' Lakes Woman Fatally Hit By Car On Route 54: Police
State police said the woman was exiting her parked car when she was struck by another vehicle early Saturday morning.
PASCO COUNTY, FL — A Land O' Lakes woman is dead after state police said she was struck by a car on Route 54 in Pasco County early Saturday morning.
According to a Florida Highway Patrol spokesperson, the 40-year-old woman was driving a Honda Civic east on Route 54 approaching Crescent Moon Drive shortly after midnight when she pulled over to the side of the road for an unknown reason.
Police said as the woman was getting out of the car, she was hit by a passing Ford Explorer driven by a 21-year-old Lutz man.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. A passenger in the Honda suffered minor injuries, while the driver of the Ford was not injured.
The crash remains under investigation.
