Man Arrested Hours After Jail Release, Deputies Say
Breaking: A man accused of trying to break into several Land O' Lakes homes had just been released from jail hours before his arrest.

LAND O’ LAKES, FL — A 22-year-old Tampa man accused of breaking into a Land O’ Lakes woman’s home Tuesday morning was released from jail only hours before. He even had the paperwork still on him to prove it.
According to the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office, Evelio Marsans-Almeida was released from the Land O’ Lakes Jail at 4:18 a.m. Tuesday. He had been behind bars for about a day, following a Monday arrest on a misdemeanor disorderly conduct charge.
It was around 5:30 a.m. when deputies say a woman in the 9100 block of Gablewood Place realized a person was in her home. The man in question reportedly entered the home by forcing open the sliding glass door. He then walked to the woman’s bedroom, an email from the agency said.

The woman’s dog began barking and the woman screamed, prompting the man to run from the home, the sheriff's office said.
The woman called deputies, who began looking for the man. A short time later a second call came in about a man who reportedly tried to enter a home in the 9400 block of Blackthorn Loop, the sheriff’s office said.

After getting that call, deputies and K9 units “flooded the street,” the email said.
Marsans-Almeida was brought into custody.
Witnesses told deputies they had seen Marsans-Almeida attempting to get into several other homes by trying their door knobs. He was unsuccessful in those attempts, the sheriff’s office said.
The details of Marsans-Almeida’s recent past became clear when deputies made the arrest. It seems they found a copy of his arrest paperwork still in his possession, the agency reported.
Marsans-Almeida was taken back to the Land O’ Lakes Jail. He now faces a burglary of an occupied dwelling and loitering charges. He remained behind bars Wednesday in lieu of $10,000 bond, jail records indicate.
