New Pasco School To Be Called Angeline Academy Of Innovation
The STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) magnet middle and high school will open in August 2023.
LAND O' LAKES, FL — Pasco County Schools announced that the new school for students in sixth through 12th grades, located in the Angeline community now under construction in Land O' Lakes, will be named Angeline Academy of Innovation.
The STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) magnet middle and high school will open in August 2023.
With the help of community and industry partners who will provide a strong emphasis on science, technology and engineering fields, the school will immerse up to 1,700 students in real-world learning experiences.

Located on nearly 19 acres south of State Road 52, west of Sun Lake Boulevard and north of the Ridge Road Extension, the 187,000-square-foot school includes a one-story administration area, one-story dining and multipurpose area with a full functioning kitchen, two-story media, band and art areas and a four-story classroom wing with all areas connected by one- and two-story atriums.
The school will be located in the 6,200-acre Angeline mixed-use, master-planned community under development by Metro Development Group with Lennar as the lead home builder.

The community will be built with a digital infrastructure providing high-speed connectivity indoors and outdoors, and Streetleaf solar streetlights.
The centerpiece is the planned 775-acre campus of H. Lee Moffitt Cancer & Research Institute's life sciences research park, which will feature 16 million square feet of laboratory, office, manufacturing and clinical space designed to be a magnet for biotech companies and renowned researchers.
In the first phase, Moffitt is constructing a 128,000-square-foot corporate business park that will generate 430 full-time jobs.

“Moffitt is thrilled to partner with Pasco County and Metro Development Group to build a global destination to live, work and cure cancer,” said Dr. Patrick Hwu, president and CEO of Moffitt Cancer Center. “We are poised to transform cancer care by attracting key biomedical leaders to drive innovative research breakthroughs. We foresee a first-of-its-kind campus with patient care, research, biotech, wellness, digital innovation and ultimately cures.”
Site entitlements for Moffitt’s project, which encompasses 24 million square feet, include a hospital, research and development space, office, manufacturing, laboratories, pharmacies, a university, hotel and commercial space. The multi-phase project is expected to create 14,500 jobs.
“We are proud to partner with Moffitt and Lennar on this forward-thinking project,” said John Ryan, CEO of Metro Development Group. “At Metro, we are known for creating healthy places for residents to live and work, and being aligned with Moffitt is a great fit in this regard.”
Also planned are up to 100 miles of trails and paved pathways developed by Avid Trails that will cater to casual walkers as well as competitive runners and mountain bikers. Trails will link to the Starkey Preserve, the Connerton Preserve and the Crossbar Ranch Preserve.
A 130-acre county park will feature a lake for fishing and kayaking, winding trails, a dog park, a shaded tot lot, boardwalks, campsites, picnic areas and scenic overlooks.
A professionally managed sustainable fruit and vegetable farm will offer fresh produce for purchase, farm-to-table events, nutrition classes, educational programs and a community garden.
The future town center and Crystal Lagoon with a beach, a specialty of the Metro Development Group, will be the heart of Angeline. It will be surrounded by more than 26 million square feet of office, shopping, dining and entertainment space along with 11,495 villas and single-family homes.
Lennar will build the first homes in the community from its Active Adult Collection. Within the gated neighborhood, there will be a multi-million-dollar amenity center and clubhouse featuring a resort-style swimming pool, fitness center, tennis, pickleball and bocce ball courts.

Applications for the Angeline Academy of Innovation will be accepted for grades 6-12 in early 2023 at www.pascoschools.org.
