Pasco Fire Rescue Adds New Ambulance

The new ambulance will serve the communities surrounding Land O' Lakes.

LAND O’ LAKES, FL – Residents of Land O’ Lakes and its surrounding communities will have extra support from Pasco County Fire Rescue.

The county’s Fire Rescue added ambulance service to Pasco County Fire Rescue Station 37, located at 18015 State Road 54 in Land O’ Lakes near the entrance of the Ballantrae neighborhood. The ambulance will begin service Friday, Sept. 1.

The new Rescue 37 unit will provide coverage from western Land O’ Lakes, Lutz and the surrounding areas, according to Pasco County. Six paramedics and EMTs are being added to Rescue Station 37 to staff the new truck to cover 24-hour shifts.

β€œThis new unit will bridge the gap between eastern Land O’ Lakes and Trinity and will help reduce response times in the area,” said Pasco County Fire Chief Scott Cassin.

According to Pasco County, Fire Rescue Station 37 has seen an increase in service over the past few years and has been relying on rescue units from surrounding stations. The population of the area is also growing, according to the county, with the addition of the Bexley community and the Long Lake Ranch neighborhood.
