Pasco Enacts Curfew During Hurricane Irma

Pasco County residents are under new curfew order as Category 2 Hurricane Irma approaches.

LAND O’ LAKES, FL – As Hurricane Irma inches closer to the Tampa Bay area, Pasco County became the latest area to enact a curfew for its residents and visitors.

Pasco County issued a mandatory curfew that started at 7 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 10 until 11 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 11. Pasco issued the order to protect people in the county from Hurricane Irma’s expected hazardous conditions.

According to the curfew notice, people within Pasco County should not be driving on public roadways or be out in public places during the curfew.

Also, Pasco County announced all of its non-emergency government offices will not be open to the public on Monday, Sept. 11. Government staff will be working to assist residents and property owners with rescue, recovery and damage assessment efforts.
