Rather than having a day off, as some school districts do, β€œwe decided years ago that we would have a β€˜day on’ – providing an inspirational and educational program honoring veterans,” said Browning. β€œWe consider this to be a day for our students to reflect on the sacrifices that veterans have made.

β€œOur school district appreciates the importance of recognizing military service, and this virtual ceremony will feature, among other things, photos of our own staff members who served in the armed forces. I’m proud to say that we have many veterans in our ranks.”
