Summer Robotics Camps for Girls Planned at Saint Leo University

Middle-school aged girls can have some hands-on fun with small robots in beginner camps. An intermediate camp is available too.

ST. LEO – Registration is still open for Saint Leo University’s Girls Can! Robotics Camps, offered to girls ages 10 to 15 at the campus, at 33701 State Road 52, St. Leo, 33574.

Beginner camps are offered the weeks of July 10 through July 14, and July 17 through July 21. Girls with no previous experience will learn to build small robots while working and having fun with other campers. The cost of a five-day beginners’ camp session is $180. A three-day session for campers who have already worked with robots will be offered July 24 through July 26 at a cost of $110.

The camps are directed by Dr. Monika Kiss of the Saint Leo University mathematics faculty. For more information, email her at monika.kiss@saintleo.edu or go to the camp registration page at www.saintleocamps.com and scroll down to robotics.
