4-Year-Old's Mom Speaks Out in Sex Abuse Case

The Largo mother of a pre-schooler allegedly abused by a 59-year-old homeless man has a warning for parents.

The day after a homeless man was arrested in connection to a Largo sex abuse case, the four-year-old victim's mother offered a public statement. (See "Deputies: Homeless Man Sexually Abused Boy.")

According to the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office, 59-year-old Robert Green has admitted to molesting the four-year-old boy. He is jailed on charges of sexual battery on a child under 12 and lewd and lascivious molestation.

The child's mother, with the support of the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office, is urging families to step forward if they believe they have information on the suspect or that their children may have been victimized, according to ABC News.

According to ABC News, she said:
"If he has done it to other children or other people, then yeah, they need to come forward because he deserves what he's going to get; and he's going to face the fullest." 

Investigators with the Crimes Against Children Unit say that they believe there may be other victims. Investigators are not saying how Green allegedly came in contact with the four-year-old victim.

The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office did say that Green has not worked in daycare or other jobs where he would oversee large numbers of children, according to ABC News.
