• Nonprofit asks for community support after 12 dogs with parvo found abandoned at Largo park (wfla.com) — Twelve dogs suffering from parvovirus were dumped in Taylor Park in Largo, and veterinarians are racing to save them while police investigate who abandoned the animals. Skyway Animal Hospital and Pawlicious Poochie Pet Rescue are asking locals for donations to cover steep treatment costs and urging dog owners to avoid the park unless pets are fully vaccinated.
   

• Pinellas deputies conduct Overnight Wolfpack Operation in memory of DUI victim (wfla.com) — Largo drivers were among those targeted in a countywide overnight DUI “Wolf Pack” operation that led to 16 DUI arrests and more than 200 citations across Pinellas. Multiple local police departments, including Largo’s, joined the sheriff’s office to crack down on impaired driving. The effort honored Marion Miller, killed by an impaired driver in Dunedin in 2023.
