Largo Man Stabs Wife After Argument, Deputies Say

Anastacio Morales and his wife were in a verbal argument that quickly escalated and led to the Largo man allegedly stabbing his wife, according to the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office.

The arrest affidavit states Morales, who appeared to be intoxicated, grabbed a knife and stabbed his wife on her back after the argument. 

Pinellas County Sheriff's deputies said the stabbing caused a deep laceration on her back, where the wound was a quarter of an inch and required stitching. She was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. 

Morales, 37, has been charged with domestic aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. He is currently awaiting trial on a $20,000 bond.
