Community Corner

Gracie's Big Splash is Friday

The fundraiser helps local children with life-threatening illnesses.

Gracie Purdy was diagnosed with a brain tumor in 2007. The community came together around the four-year-old girl and her family to support them and help raise monies.

One of the fundraiser was Gracie's Big Splash-- a large family friendly water event. Although Gracie died ten months after her diagnosis, the fundraiser continues to help other families with children with life-threatening illnesses.

The Wonders Foundation is the non-profit, which organizes the annual fundraiser. The foundation focuses on helping children and families in a variety of ways.
