Greater Ridgecrest Y To Host Breast Cancer Walk/Run
The Oct. 9 event will benefit LIVESTRONG® at the YMCA.

LARGO, FL — Join the Greater Ridgecrest YMCA as it honors breast cancer survivors with a day of fun activities, including a walk, run, brunch and raffle.
Guest speakers will include breast cancer survivors and medical professionals from local cancer treatment centers in both traditional and alternative medicine.
All proceeds from this year's event will be used to fund the Y’s branch's LIVESTRONG® at the YMCA program so that the Y can offer more support for members of Ridgecrest Y on their road to wellness after being affected by cancer.

LIVESTRONG is a free 12-week physical activity program designed with the goal of getting cancer survivors back on their feet after diagnosis and treatment.
The event will take place at the Ridgecrest Y, 1801 119th St. N., Largo, Saturday, Oct. 9 from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The preregistration fee is $25 and includes entry, shirt, brunch, raffle ticket and survivor swag.
Event day tickets are $30 and include entry, brunch and raffle ticket.
Additionally, there will be line dance lessons throughout the event with extended dance time after brunch is served.
Registration opens at 7:30 a.m. and the walk/run begins at 8:15 p.m. A brunch of chicken and waffles will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
