Here's What's Open, Closed In Pinellas County On Veterans Day

PINELLAS COUNTY, FL — Pinellas County government offices will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 11, in observance of Veterans Day. This includes departments under the Board of County Commissioners, Clerk’s Office, Tax Collector, Property Appraiser and Supervisor of Elections.

Parks & Conservation Resources

County parks, the Florida Botanical Gardens and the outdoor areas of the county preserves will be open. The Parks & Conservation Resources administrative offices will be closed, as will the Heritage Village, the Brooker Creek Environmental Education Center and the Weedon Island Cultural and Natural History Center. Annual parking passes can be purchased online.

Parking fees will be suspended for the day at all county boat ramps and Sand Key, Fred Howard, Madeira Beach Access and Fort De Soto beach parks.

Human Services

Pinellas County Human Services office locations will be closed.

Building Services

Pinellas County Building Services office locations will be closed, and inspections will not be taking place.

Sixth Judicial Circuit Courts

The courts of the Sixth Judicial Circuit (Pinellas and Pasco) will not be in session except for first-appearance advisory hearings and emergency situations.

Solid Waste Disposal Facility

The Solid Waste Disposal Facility will be open from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Thursday; however, the Solid Waste Administration Building and Household Electronics and Chemical Collection Center (HEC3) will be closed.

Animal Services Shelter

The offices and adoption center at Pinellas County Animal Services will be closed.
