The human line of hands intends to "send a powerful message to leaders that expanding oil drilling is a dirty, dangerous endeavor," according toΒ Hands Across the Sand.
Hands Across the Sand began in Florida shortly before the oil spill in 2010. Since then the movement has grown to include 32 states and more than a dozen countries.
