Largo Welcomes New Fire Rescue Personnel

The City of Largo welcomed nine new or newly promoted fire rescue personnel on Nov. 20.

The Largo Fire Department welcomed three new firefighters and five newly promoted or hired officers on Nov. 20 at Largo City Hall. 

Division Chief Shelby Willis was promoted to Deputy Chief of the Fire Department but she was unable to attend the ceremony.

The new firefighters are Luca Petrone, Greg Cargill and Woody Mamouzelous. Petrone may be familiar to Largo Patch readers as a talented chef, who helps prepare meals for his shift at the firehouse.

The newly promoted and hire officers include Lt. Shawn Carroll, Assistant Chief Michael Handoga,  District Chief Chris McDonald, Assistant Chief Doug Swartz and Division Chief of Operations Joe Pennino.
