Man Convicted of Murder for Largo Shooting

Lloyd Neal, 23, will serve consecutive life sentences.

A man already serving a life sentence for a 2007 murder was convicted Thursday for another murder, according to a report by TBO, that occurred in Largo.

Lloyd Neal, 23, will serve consecutive life sentences after also being found guilty for a 2006 Largo shooting.

Prosecutors maintained that on Oct. 29, 2006, Neal leaned out of a Jeep Cherokee and shot Hoeschele Thomas, 48, after the Jeep pulled up alongside Thomas in a Largo neighborhood, TBO reported.

Neal was not charged until 2011, after a Pinellas County Sheriff's cold case detective connected a .380-caliber projectile found near Thomas's body to a Clearwater drive-by shooting that happened a few weeks later.
