Munchie's Remains Closed
The grill and bar does not yet have its certificate of occupancy, according to the City of Largo.

Munchie's Grill & Bar is still closed.Â
The Adrian Avenue neighborhood bar and grill opened under new management in July but closed apparently for repairs in September.Â
Munchie's continues to work to get the certificate of occupancy so they can open, according to City of Largo spokesman Brandon Graham.

Since the restaurant will be serving food, approval is needed from the city's engineering/environmental, building and fire departments, Graham wrote in an email.Â
"Currently, Fire Rescue has rejected the application due to National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards not being met by the applicant. The main issue is a door that is part of a fire wall separating two different businesses. That door needs to be removed and the complete wall put back in place," Graham wrote.

The next step is for Munchie's to resubmit plans showing no door and meeting other NFPA standards, Graham wrote.
The restaurant still needs to have its grease traps inspected by environmental services. The city's building division has a hold on the application because of the engineering and fire rescue hold/rejection, Graham wrote.
Patch has not yet heard back from Munchie's manager but will provide an update when it does.Â
The person listed on the permit is Bonnie McKinney, according to a city spokesperson.
