The Largo center is actively seeking healthy donors, who have a unique opportunity to make a difference in the community through plasma donation. Donations received at BioLife centers are used by Takeda to make established therapies that treat a range of rare and complex conditions including immunodeficiency disorders, for which there are often no alternative treatments. This is the first BioLife center to open in the Tampa area and the sixth to open in the state; it will bring more than 30 new jobs to the local community in an effort to support the urgent need for plasma.
