Ordering Pizza Pie on Thanksgiving Eve in Largo?

Thanksgiving Eve is one of the five busiest days of the year for pizza sales, according to Market Watch.

While pumpkin or apple may be the pie of choice on Thanksgiving, the Wednesday night before the holiday may find "pies" with pepperoni, sausage and cheese on many Largo tables.

While preparing for the lavish Thanksgiving feast with turkey and all the fixings, the last thing many cooks want to do is cook another meal for Wednesday's Thanksgiving Eve supper.

Ordering pizza on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving is a popular choice. In fact, Thanksgiving Eve is one of the top five pizza sales days, according to Market Watch.

Santo Sardo, owner of Largo's Sardo Pizza, said both the days before and after Thanksgiving are busy days for pizza sales at his Ulmerton Road store.

"The day before Thanksgiving everybody is gearing up for the Thanksgiving feast and they don't really want to cook," Sardo said.

"The day after Thanksgiving, everybody is shopping, and even though there are leftovers, they don't want to eat the same thing again," Sardo said.

It's actually a busy time of year for pizza sales. Thanksgiving Eve is right up there with Halloween, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day and the Super Bowl (the biggest day of the year for pizza sales), Market Watch reports.
