• 2 arrested in connection with 12 dogs dumped at Largo park, police say (wfla.com) — Largo police say two people have been arrested after 12 sick dogs were abandoned in Taylor Park, with both suspects now facing multiple felony animal cruelty charges. The dogs were taken to a local animal hospital, where they were diagnosed with parvovirus, and one later died from its injuries. Investigators say the pair had been illegally breeding dogs and selling sick puppies. 
• He's not longer 'Big Nasty,' but Bucs superfan is still a huge part of team history (wusf.org) — A longtime Tampa Bay Buccaneers superfan who lives in Largo, known for decades as “Big Nasty,” has retired his famous face paint and horned hard hat but remains a beloved part of team history. He now cheers from home while continuing to be recognized for his charity work, anti-drug outreach in local schools, and deep roots in the Bay area football community.
