Pinellas Tax Collector Offices Raises Funds For Families
More than $1,700 was raised for the Ronald McDonald House in St. Petersburg.

PINELLAS COUNTY, FL — On Wednesday, April 27, Pinellas County Tax Collector, Charles W. Thomas, and members of his team headed to the Ronald McDonald House in St. Petersburg to present a check for $1,725.50 in donations collected by employees.
Each year, tax collector employees nominate and vote for a local nonprofit to support for the coming year. Ronald McDonald House was the 2020 chosen charity but due to the unforeseen circumstances of COVID-19, fundraising was interrupted. Employees decided to make up for it and continue to support the non-profit in 2021. Throughout the year, each office came up with internal activities to help raise funds.
Giving back to the community is very important to the Tax Collector's Office and this nonprofit has left an extremely positive impact on Pinellas County. Ronald McDonald House Charities of Tampa Bay help families stay close to the hospitals where their children are receiving treatment for various medical challenges.
