Authorities Seek ID of Attempted Bike Shop Robber

The suspect is accused of attempted armed robbery at a local bicycle shop.

The would appreciate your help identifying the suspect accused of attempting to rob the owner of on Walsingham with a handgun on Saturday around 3:20 p.m.

The bike shop owner, Daniel Block, was standing outside his store when the unknown suspect approached him and allegedly shoved a gun in Block's stomach. Then the suspect reportedly "demanded Block give him his wallet", according to a news release.

A struggle ensued and Block was allegedly hit in the head several times with the handgun, according to a news release.

The suspect fled the scene without taking any of Block's property. Authorities believe the suspect headed east in a grey vehicle, possibly a Chrysler 300, with dark purple tinted windows and a sunroof.

The suspect is described as a black male approximately 18 to 25 years old, around 5-foot-9 and weighing 160 pounds. He was wearing a black shirt, dark shorts and a white baseball hat (see the photo).Β
