Serial Bank Robbery Suspect Sought By Authorities

Largo Police continue to seek the public's help in identifying a suspect who has allegedly robbed or tried to rob three banks within the last week.

Largo Police Department detectives are trying to identify a suspect who is accused of robbing or trying to rob three Wells Fargo banks within the last week, according to a media release.

The suspect is accused of robbing the Wells Fargo Bank at 801 West Bay Dr. in Largo on Jan. 3, police report.

The same suspect is accused of attempting to rob the Wells Fargo at 2525 West Bay Dr. in Largo around 3:50 p.m. Jan. 9. "The suspect did not complete a robbery at this bank, instead he left this location and committed a robbery at another Wells Fargo Bank on the corner of 131st Street and Park Boulevard," police said.

The suspect is described as white male with a thin beard who is approximately 6-foot-2 or 6-foot-4. He appeared to weigh between 170 and 180 pounds. He may be driving a dark-colored, convertible Ford Mustang (late '90s to early 2000s), police report.
