Couples wanting to make the most romantic day of the year extra special by exchanging or renewing wedding vows.

PINELLAS COUNTY, FL — Couples wanting to make the most romantic day of the year extra special by exchanging or renewing wedding vows can now register for the Pinellas Clerk’s 16th annual Valentine’s Day Wedding Ceremony Monday, Feb. 14, in the Florida Botanical Gardens in Largo.
The clerk will officiate up to 30 weddings and 20 vow renewals in a memorable group ceremony. Couples must register online no later than Tuesday, Feb. 1, here.
To be eligible to be married in the Valentine’s Day wedding event, a couple must apply for a marriage license by Feb. 11 to have the license issued in time for the ceremony. The clerk has waived the normal $30 ceremony fee. Standard marriage license fees still apply.

“This is the 16th year we will have the honor and privilege of sharing this special day with local and out-of-state couples getting married or renewing their vows” said Ken Burke, Pinellas County Clerk of the Circuit Court & Comptroller. “We are so excited to be able to continue the tradition of holding our annual Valentine’s Day group wedding.”
Couples will receive a special commemorative marriage certificate, which will be mailed with the official certificate of marriage and photos (if purchased) within a week after the ceremony.
The clerk’s office is showcasing the community event with an eye-catching window display at the Downtown Clearwater Courthouse. Aimee Matsko and Shantel Griffin, owners of Bearer of the Bling Bridal in Kenneth City, volunteered to design and set up the clerk’s window display once again this year.
