There's a bunch of wing joints in the greater Largo area, but whose wings are king?

Half-fried and half-grilled and coated with a special mayo-based sauce, Sports Shack might have some of the most unique wings in town. Like 'em or not, you gotta give the Missouri Avenue bar props for trying to do wings differently.

What better place to get wings than a bar that honors the Buffalo Bills? Although the Still is known more as a drinking hangout than an eatery, at least you can chow down on some wings while filling up on your favorite adult beverage and watching the game.

Although this 66th Street staple is known for other things, its wings are still a big reason why people keep coming in. One of the first places to offer the "naked," blackened option, its wings come in a variety of shapes (choose all drums) and sizes (5 piece to 50 count).

Quaker Steak & Lube. It may be just over the Largo line, but this Pinellas Park eatery is so into wings, we had to include it in our poll. Featuring almost two dozen flavors, from original to Thai to triple atomic, 'the Lube' is a true wing lovers paradise.

Known for its laid back, sports bar vibe, this Indian Rocks Road hangout is also pretty well known for its wings. Big, cheap and made with just the right flavor, Goose's kicks it up a notch when it comes to wings.

Boasting 15 flavors, including nuclear habanero and sweet samurai, plus the ability to mix-n-match, Wing Zone has one of the more varied wing menus in the area.

Although this family restaurant chain doesn't really advertise its wings, it's a little-known secret that it serves some of the tastiest wings in town. If you haven't tried them yet, there are a couple of these popular neighborhood establishments in the greater Largo area to choose from.

Great wings, big beers, plenty of flat screens and attractive young servers. No, they needn't say more.
