Intruder Shoots Man After Breaking Into Lutz Home
A suspect broke into the Southeast Lutz home about 6 p.m. Monday and shot a man in the face.
LUTZ, FL - Hillsborough deputies are investigating a shooting at a Lutz home on Deer Forest Drive. A suspect broke into the Southeast Lutz home about 6 p.m. Monday. A man in the home struggled with the suspect when he was shot twice in the face, deputies said.
The suspect fled into a wooded area behind the property and deputies are searching for him. The victim was transported to Tampa General Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, deputies said. Detectives said they do not believe this was a random act.
