Management Of Wiregrass Sports Campus Assumed By Pasco County

PASCO COUNTY, FL —Florida’s Sports Coast vision of making Pasco County a premier sports tourism destination continues as the county assumes full operations of the Wiregrass Ranch Sports Campus of Pasco County.

The Pasco Board of County Commissioners approved an agreement to take over management of the Wesley Chapel sports facility, previously managed by Jonesville, Florida-based RADD Sport. Pasco’s sports marketing team and parks and recreation managers will now oversee the daily operations of the Wiregrass Ranch Sports Campus at 3021 Sports Coast Way, Wesley Chapel.

The Wiregrass Ranch Sports Campus opened in the summer of 2020 to attract national sports tournaments to Pasco County.

Built with $29 million of tourist development tax dollars on an 120-acre site donated by the Porter family, the state-of-the-art, 98,000 square foot facility includes two 35,500-square-foot multipurpose courts with eight drop-down basketball hoops and 16 volleyball nets; a 5,000-square-foot indoor cheer zone with a springboard floor; two full-size, outdoor multipurpose fields and parking for 1,100 vehicles. The field house is able to host crowds of more than 700 people.

Pasco County Parks, Recreation & Natural Resources is honoring all prior event contracts, Florida’s Sports Coast, Pasco County's tourism bureau, will focus on booking outside events and attracting outside visitors to Pasco County.
