Grove At Wesley Chapel Movie Theater To Undergo Upgrades Under B&B Theatres' Ownership

WESLEY CHAPEL, FL — The Grove at Wesley Chapel's movie theater has joined the family of B&B Theatres.

B&B Theatres plans to bring enhanced amenities to the theater at 6333 Wesley Grove Blvd., Wesley Chapel, following a reopening later this year.

The 16-screen theater, which underwent dramatic remodeling and renovation efforts last year, represents the company’s fifth operation in the Sunshine State and will reopen as B&B Theatres The Grove 16 at Wesley Chapel.

The management deal will result in millions of dollars in upgrades, which includes replacing the seating in the downstairs theaters to reclining chairs, similar to what is existing upstairs.

Movie goers may also sign up for a Backstage Pass Loyalty Program so they can start earning perks as soon as the doors reopen as B&B Theaters The Grove 16 at Wesley Chapel later this fall.

SideSplitters Comedy Club will continue to offer comedy shows and Cycle Cinema, featuring spin bikes inside the theater, still plans to open.

B&B Theatres has been family owned and operated since 1924 when Elmer Bills Sr. opened a movie house in Salisbury, Missouri, where the future Mrs. Bills played the piano for silent movies.

During the company’s 97 years, and four generations of family involvement, it has seen the coming of sound, color, Technicolor, stadium seating, multiplexes, recliners and digital cinema.

B&B Theatres is the fifth-largest theater chain in North America and operates 517 screens at 56 locations in Kansas, Iowa, Florida, Missouri, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Minnesota, Virginia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Texas, Washington and Georgia.
