Upcoming Events Slated to Help Raise Funds for Lutz Centennial

As planning for Lutz's 100th birthday party gets under way, two community events are already on tap to help raise funds for the event.

• Philly Cream, 127 Flagship Drive, will host a Craft Fair and Business Expo from 1 to 7 p.m. on Sept. 30. A portion of the event proceeds will be donated to the Lutz Centennial Celebration, Philly Cream owner Brian Vindick said. 

• Elizabeth and Cory Bergeron of Lutz, along with Drinking Band with a Worship Problem, will celebrate the one-year anniversary of their Lutz-based home church with a public party from 7 to 11 p.m. on Oct. 26 at the old Lutz train depot. In addition to live entertainment by the band, vendors will sell refreshments and other items. Lutz Centennial T-shirts are slated to be on sale at the event, with proceeds supporting the 2013 birthday events.
